Thanks very much for your insights, Techman! I replaced the Cat 6 cable to the PLM, restored it from the eISY, and things have been running well again for a week! Best, Lee

Hi, folks. Sorry if this is not posted to the correct forum. I have around 100 Insteon devices connecting to my EISY and I recently have been having some strange things happen. I am wondering if someone might help me with things to try. Everything had been running great for many months if not over a year. Recently, some things started seeming to become temporarily inaccessible the the system and not responding as they should at times. I attached a photo of one recurring offender with a red !. Usually, doing a Query makes it come back for a while. This is happening to a few devices over and over. I have done factory resets on the switches/outlets in question. I have done "Restore Device" commands. I have reflashed the EISY to the current version of 5.8.4 and my PG3x is 3.2.27. I have run the Upgrade Packages command and rebooted the EISY. I have done a Restore Modem (PLM) command. I have done a main "Restore Devices" command. I even restored the EISY from a backup that was prior to the issues starting. I do also have a few Polyglots running and the USB > Z-wave adapter I got from UD. There are several Z-Wave devices connected, but not seem to have issues. I have not yet tried a factory reset on the PLM or swapping another one, and have not factory reset the EISY. I am just trying to figure out what is getting flakey here. Some of the misbehaving devices have clamed down, but others continue to get goofy. There are a number of switches and outlets that have had issues recently. Am I wrong in thinking the PLM might be having some communication issues? Any way I can get a better idea of how to pin point it or other things the experts here might suggest I try to do or do again? Thanks so much in advance! Lee

Hi folks, anyone have any insights on these errors? I log in to AC, immediately get the updated packages message (I have tried to update several times), then I am prompted to log in again, then a get a slew of the "Event Received For a Different Subscription; Restart!" errors. I have restarted IoX, rebooted, etc. Polyglot 3 is also not letting me in. TIA, Lee

I am seeing this as well under 5.5.7.

Got it and installed. Still playing around with things a good bit. Would you mind sharing how you have yours configured and any scene or program info with which you have had success? I am using this in a powder room in place of a Lutron occupancy sensor. I played with having it in manual mode and using the motion state to give a turn on command and timed turn off all from esy. I tried a scene with a related program. Moderate success, but not perfect at all. I then went back to occupancy mode on the Jasc switch, set a long timeout, and have a program doing a shut off based on time elapsed without motion. It works so-so. I see there seems to be two sets of motion sensors and switches reported through the Z-wave connection. Perhaps one logical and one physical? Again, still playing around. Limited documentation found so far. Thanks again! Lee -

Thanks, Shawn! I will check them out right away. Cheers, Lee -
What method did you use to update? I looked in the mobile app and see 5.5.6 available for my eisy.

Yeah, it would be nice to see some additional, quality options for such an animal out there, but excited to get this one tomorrow and have something new with which to play! -

Thanks very much! I had look and this was the only option I found. Just ordered it. Lee -
Hi Folks! I just ordered a ZMatter USB dongle for my eisy and want to look at purchasing some compatible devices. Specifically, I am looking for items that three-prong power corded devices can be plugged into and turned on/off, temperature sensors, and possibly motion sensors. I am open to multi-function units as well. Can anyone suggest what specifications are best to look for when choosing things to work with the ZMatter USB unit? Any specific brands and models with which you have seen good results and ones to avoid? Thanks very much in advance, Lee

Thanks so much again, MrBill! Very kind of you to spend the time and share your expertise. Much appreciated! I will try what you suggested today. Also, I feel the need to share this picture of our dog and her favorite toy. It actually says "Ohhh Nooo!" when squeezed!

OK, an update on all of this. I moved the water heater that has the powered blower on it to another outlet that is on another circuit. The issue persisted. I was in the basement this morning looking to see if the outlet was off as there was no hot water and eisy was showing the pump was on. It was actually not. I manually turned it on, and when the water heater happened to kick on while I was standing there, the outlet turned back off! It was still reporting being on with eisy. So, should I understand that there may be power line interference caused by the water heater kicking on that somehow makes the Insteon outlet believe it should turn off and not report back to eisy that it is off? I did order a 10-amp FilterLinc today on eBay. I will try plugging the water heater into the filtered outlet when it gets here. Also, I have another gremlin that turns the lights on in my balcony area periodically. There are about 8 switches associated with that scene. They do all come on when those lights turn on by themselves. Do you think it is possible power line noise could be causing that too? Thanks! Lee
