  1. Well, this isn't the first time I have posted a question, then figured it out right afterwards. Use New INSTEON Device under the Link Management menu item and enter the 6 byte address on the back. Then push the set button on the remote and it reads it and creates 4 separate nodes for the 4 scene and 8 for the 8 scene. Go figure!
  2. Under Link Management in version 5.3.0, there is a selection to "Link a Remotelinc 2" with "Switch", "4-Scene Keypad", and "8-Scene Keypad". I cannot find a current wiki that describes how to use these. I have brand new 4 scene and 8 scene remotes and can get them to manually link with devices using the manual link without ISY, but then they do not show up in ISY either. How do you link these using ISY? Searching only finds results from several years ago.
  3. Running 5.3.0. Factory reseting makes no change.
  4. I ordered the Polisy when it was first announced and it has been sitting on the shelf since I got it. ? I finally have time to set it up, but I cannot get past the login screen. I use the default admin/admin combination, I get a green bar that says "You are now logged in" then it goes back to the login screen. This happens in Safari and Chrome on a Mac and Edge and Chrome on Windows. I have opened a ticket, but it was late on Friday so I'm hoping someone might know what my issue is.
  5. A bit more fun tonight. I was able to hookup up to the monitor port and establish a serial connection to the ISY. That took me back several years. I can access the ISY through the monitor port, but when I try to do anything other than display time, show memory, or menu, I get an exception dump. If you select "A" within the first two seconds of a boot, you get dumped into the monitor. There are options to Flash the App but no directions. I'm going to stop and wait until I get a good response from the tech support group other than the "Please install 5.0.16 and restore your backup" response.
  6. I have reformatted the SD too. The ISY is not picking up an IP address so I can’t attach to it. How are reloading the FW?
  7. As per my post, I tried that. I get as far as all the LEDs turning off, but it just starts over. I never get the Mem light flashing quickly.
  8. I can't seem to get my ISY-994i ZW IR Pro to factory reset. The instructions say to hold the reset button at least 30 seconds until the memory LED flashes. On initial power up, I get the Power LED and a few seconds later the Rx and Tx LEDs light up and the Err LED flashes. If I hold the reset button, the Rx, Tx, Memory, and Err LEDS go out for about 5 seconds, all flash on and off 5 times together, then sequentially light up starting with the Rx, Tx, Memory, then Err so that they are all on, then start turning off in the same order. It does this twice, then flashes all four LEDs four times. Then it turns all four off for about five seconds and starts over. I have tried this for 30 seconds, 60, 90 and 120 seconds. No matter what, when I release the reset button, it goes back to the Power, Rx, Tx LEDs lit and the Err flashing. Ideas?
  9. Ok, I'm a dumba**. The email announcing the new release stated "NOTE: If you are already on 5.0.16 firmware, please ignore this message." I was on 5.0.15A, so I technically followed the rules, but didn't stop to think why I was going from 5.0.15A down to 4.8.0 (which I just noticed). Trying to do work work and this upgrade at the same time. Sooooo...... How do I recover from an attempted downgrade that went bad? Original post: I just attempted to upgrade my ISY994i ZW IR PRO from 5.0.15A to 5.0.16 using the manual method (since there was no Automatically Upgrade option on my Help screen). I used the second file above, but now that I am re-reading it, I'm not sure if I should have used the first one since I have a PLM. Regardless, the ISY now has a blinking red error light, cannot be reached by any method and currently does not have an IP address. Power, Rx, Tx LEDs are lit, Memory is off and Error is flashing. I have looked at the Wiki troubleshooting guide and it says "ISY cannot communicate with the SD Card". I powered down the ISY, removed the SD Card and put it in my Mac and can read it with no issues, so at least I know it isn't corrupted. I do have a current backup. Next step?
