Sorry if this isn't the right channel, but I have been looking all over for answers (which tells me it most likely isn't possible). I am going to be installing Control4 to control my AV, security, cameras, and locks. I was hoping to integrate my lighting system (Insteon ISY) into it, but it appears that it won't work. It appears that there used to be a driver, but it was discontinued & it may not have worked as intended with the newer insteon keypads/ switches. Has anyone been able to successfully bring over their Insteon into Control4 or know a way to do this? My installer thought we could do a workaround through Vera, but when I tried to set up Vera with the USB PLM, it wouldn't recognize the keypads. I also could get the Vera and insteon device to talk one way. I could turn the light on/off from vera, but if i turned the actual light switch, then vera wouldn't recognize that button push. Before I give up on the idea to have it all integrated into one app, I wanted to make sure I try to cross off every method. Appreciate any advice / wisdom others can give

I have the ISY994i series that I have been using for about 2 years. I am not too pleased with the App for ISY and considering switching to a new app. I realized that I don't use a lot of the advanced features of ISY, and basically just it to control my lights, and have some on a schedule. I think these are basic functions of Insteon. An issue I have is that I have a fan that is about 25 feet high that has the fan control board. If i switch to Insteon, I would need to go around the house and pair them to the new Hub. Getting to this fan unit is extremely tough and I would need to bring out someone with a tall ladder for that. Is there a way to transfer over all the connections from ISY to Insteon? Also, if something happened to the ISY hub, is there a way to just swap in a new ISY hub and all my existing controls would still be there?

Hello, I have the Schlage Connect door lock and the Zwave enabled ISY. I was able to connect my front door lock to the ISY system (initially), but was unable to connect my garage door unit. I followed the instructions to make my Door Lock in Zwave enabled mode and did the add zwave in the ISY dashboard. For some reason, my front door is no longer connecting with my ISY. Anyone have any suggestions or familiarity with the Schlage Connect zwave?

I am just setting up my ISY system, so my apologizes for the easy questions. I have started to set up scenes and after several trial and error, i am starting to get how to link the buttons and making scenes (baby steps!). I have two on/off switches that control the same hallway light with one of those switches having the Load. I made a scene called Hallway with the switch that controls the Load act as responder and the other switch acting as the controller. When i hit the responder to be on, the responder obviously shows in the on state, but the controller shows in an Off State. When i hit the controller to be On, the responder and controller will be in an On State, and both in an off state when I hit the controller off. My question is how can I show the controller to be in an On State when i hit the responder to be on?

Good morning, I bought the ISY994IZW IR Pro and the PLM. I hooked it up my switch and started to go through the quick guide. I updated the Java script, downloaded the admin.jnlp file, and went to the location: https://isy.universal-devices.com/994/ & https://www.universal-devices.com/99i/ but I never saw a login screen to put in Admin/Admin. When the admin file opened up, it just shows an ISY finder, but the ISY did not appear. I did a factory reset on the PLM and ISY, but still nothing. Only 1 blue light is showing up on the ISY, and the green light is showing on the PLM I have my Verizon router hooked up to my switch, which is then hardwired to my EERO wifi system. Any thoughts or tips for me? Thank you for the help, Zach

This one? https://www.insteon.com/motion-sensor

Thanks for the reply. When you say separate motion sensor, are you using a insteon motion sensor (because I didn't think they made an outdoor one). The flood lights I am looking at have one integrated, but I think I should be able to open the back of them up and hook up the Micro on/off to the motion sensor.

I am almost done with my construction on my home and just installed the insteon switches. My electrician is about to put up flood lights that I will supply. I have been reading up on the various forums that it's possible to get a flood light with motion sensor that works both with the insteon switch (to turn on and off) and also so the flood light will be activated by motion when the insteon switch is in off mode through the use of a Micro On/Off. My guess is that the Micro On/Off is connected to the Motion sensor piece of the flood light so when the motion sensor triggers, it send a signal to the Micro On/Off which then triggers the Insteon Switch to the on mode. If someone has done this, what do you set up the Micro On/Off as (controller, responder, both?), any other settings you should apply? Also, what connections should be made from the motion sensor to the Micro On/Off? I appreciate any tips anyone can provide

Really appreciate the advice! Just reading through the forum/wiki pages now. Took long enough to figure the system I wanted to go with, but I like the integration of zwave and insteon.

Thanks for the quick replies! I'll verify the neutral wires with electrician, I appreciate it. No, we were not planning to have the pendant lights be low voltage. We do however a set of low voltage upstairs for a hallway. Is it not advised to use low voltage with this system? We liked the look of those recessed lights, but it's early enough where we can make a swap.

Hello, I am about to build a new home and I'm planning on using insteon switches/keypads throughout the house. I'm working with my builder to plan the group's of lights so I can figure out the number of switches/keypads that I'll need. While I've been putting my ideas down on paper figuring out which keypad should talk to which group, potential issue popped up which I'm sure there's an easy answer. I'll provide an example but the overall premise is how does insteon control a grouping of lights across multiple switches/keypad. Here's a simple example There are three groups of lights in the kitchen (recessed, pendant, and morning room). I have a switch that controls each light separately. I have a keypad with a button that can turn all three lights together. Another button on that keypad will only control the recessed and pendant light. My question is, if I hit the switch that turns on the recessed light, and then go to the keypad and hit the button with the scene that controls the 3 lights, what will happen? In my ideal situation, since the recessed light is already on due to me pressing the switch, when I hit the button the morning room light and pendant light will also turn on, joining the recessed light that should remain on. I didn't know if the pendant light and morning room light would turn on, and the recessed light would turn off. The other part to this is if I hit the 2nd button that controls the pendant and recessed light, would only those 2 turn off (given that all three are on). I appreciate the help!
