jwagner010 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I know this may be a low priority but I will put it out there anyway given you are looking to update programs this year: The SynchroLinc has a number of options you can manually set in the Admin console, namely Trigger Threshold, Holdoff and Hysteresis. I would like to be able to set these values within a program eg. Set '' 237Watts (Trigger Threshold) Thanks for the consideration
bsobel Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Curious, can you give an example use case where you'd use this. Not disagreeing, curious as I considered them 'fixed' states once programmed to a load such as my TV's.
jwagner010 Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 My use case is very simple and somewhat unique I guess, which is why I started off the OP saying this would be low priority but I was hoping maybe something simple to implement for UDI. My SynchroLinc sits in a cupboard above my microwave and has the microwave plugged into it. The Microwave is an over the stove model with a vent, that vents internally. There is a separate exhaust fan in the kitchen. I use the SynchroLinc to turn on the exhaust fan after the microwave has been running longer than 2 minutes. So why do I need this capability in a program? My wife continues to put cereal boxes in the cupboard ontop of the SynchroLinc, pressing the set button on it all the time, throwing out the settings. I want to build a program that at 4am each day resets the settings in case it has changed accidentally. I am sure folks can think of other cases but mine is very simple !!!
arw01 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 if you have a child, steal a lego and tape it over the button so it cannot be pressed
jwagner010 Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 Does that mean I have to make a child before I implement this fix or can I just go to the store and buy some Lego now?
Xathros Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Does that mean I have to make a child before I implement this fix or can I just go to the store and buy some Lego now? I'm sure there are a few of us here that would gladly send you the last Lego we stepped on barefoot in the dark. -Xathros
