Signal analyzer like is in HouseLinc

Any chance we could get a facility like HouseLinc has for diagnosing Insteon signals?

 

I personally have not used this, but the manuals suggest a possibly useful tool. The problem is right now, it would require a lot of overlapped work and definitions to utilize it in the same setup where ISY already existed. New or separate PLMs for example.

A Smarthome distributor just sent me the following. Certainly would not be as good as an integrated diagnostics tool with the ISY, but is something I was not aware of and likely helpful to a lot of people.

 

So there are two approaches today. One is HomeLinc and one is the Insteon Diagnostic Keyboard. For an installer or owner of a large installation, this might be a good $70 investment. Hopefully integrated tests can be included with ISY in the future as well.

Some of the features of the Diagnostic Keypadlinc only work with the March 2012 and later. I2CS enabled modules.
