hmatos Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I have an EZX10RF in the garage to receive an X10 RF signal from the home link system in my car. I also have an I/O Linc connected to my garage door opener. All of these components work pretty well on their own, I can press a home link button in my car, the EZX10RF receives it and sends it through to ISY which turns on the I/O link relay to open the garage door. I was trying to use an Elk Rule to perform an action when the EZX10RF receives an 'ON' (i.e., the home link button). It doesn't seem to work on the Elk side - it never sees the transmit of the 'ON'. Is this to be expected? Am I missing a device somewhere? Thanks, hm Elk Rule: /* 1E.7B ... is the X10 Bridge, ON Remote Code 1 */ WHENEVER 1E.7B.6B.1 [1(A1)] IS TURNED ON THEN ANNOUNCE Garage Dr Ops [43 (C11)}
LeeG Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I don't use ELK. Is that ELK rule looking for an Insteon On from the EZX10RF node or A1/On? The EZX10RF does not send the A1/On when there is an Insteon responder linked such as the ISY PLM. Was the ISY configuration exported to the ELK? As I said I don't use ELK but I have seen forum posts that discuss exporting the ISY configuration to the ELK.
hmatos Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 Yes, it's an insteon device and I did export it. It's odd - sometimes it will trigger the message and sometimes it won't (mostly won't).
