2477S switch wil only work 1 way please help!!!!

i installed 6 2477S dual band switches and one 8 button dual band today

all work flawlessly

except the last one i put in on the isy interface i can see the light it synced perfectly with the isy and i can view it live when someone turns the switch on and off works perfect EXCEPT

when i use the isy to turn on and off the light it will only turn ON not off

when i go to shut the light off with the isy it says cannot communicate with the switch

but if someone is turning it off and on locally (at the switch) i can see it going "on and off" on the isy

 

i went and created a scene in the isy thinking maybe it will work if i link the switch with one of the 8 buttons

and it linked perfectly no problems will turn it on no problem but it wont turn it off

 

does anyone have any advice on what it could be?!?

When a device will turn On but not turn Off the first thing to look at is the load the device is controlling. The load may be creating enough interference to prevent the Off message from reaching the device. Disconnect the Red wire (and cap it) and see if the device will physically turn On and Off without the load.

now the next question is how do i get rid of the interferance?

What type of load is being controlled? CFL, LED, Fluorescent, etc and what wattage.

they are led lights in pot lights

there is 7 of them and they are 9 watt

There are inline filters that may help. Smarthome use to sell them but apparently Smarthome dropped them from the inventory. I found a reference to an XPNR inline filter but I have no experience with any inline filter. All my filter needs are taken care of with FilterLincs.

 

Anyone have information on currently available inline filters?

LeeG, I believe you are thinking about the 6287 five amp wired in filter.

Unfortunately it is discontinued. Though they may still be found on eBay.

I have no personal information on the XPNR. Not sure how it would treat the Insteon 131.65 KHz power line signals.

I did find a schematic of the Leviton 6298. That the X10Pro cross reference says is the same as their XPNR.

Will have to study it and try and figure out how it works.

 

More data. Old Leviton Technical Manual says their 6289 In Line Noise Reducer. Filters noise above and below 121 kHz.
