What is the meaning of a red exclamation mark beside my insteon device (dimmer 2477D) in the UD browser application and how can I solved this problem because the device is still connected but not working.

I believe it represents a communication problem with that device. Have you tried to make any changes to the device? Scenes? Links? If so, try again to write those changes.

I finally fix the problem without knowing exactly what was the issue.

 

I've just delele the device, unplugged it et reconnected it and link it as a new device,

Was a communications failure with the device.

My old I1 ApplianceLincs every once and awhile just go stupid. Giving me a few red ! displays.

You could have tried right clicking on the red ! device and try a query or one of the diagnostic tests that also show with the right click.

Removing and reinstalling may not have been needed.

 

If the 2477D was locked up. You may have been able to just pull out the Air Gap Switch.

Wait maybe thirty seconds.

Push the Air Gap switch back to its normal position. Just not all the way in or you will do a factory reset.

Than a query of the device.
