Illusion Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I was under the impression that when you run a program from the Program Summary page that the 'Then' path was executed immediately regardless of conditions; however I am not finding this to be the case. I have programs that reside in my "Security" folder which houses all of my "Away" programs. If I try to test programs in this folder by using the 'run' or 'run else' commands the programs will not execute unless the "Security" folder condition is met or I first use 'Run' on the folder condition. While the status does change to "True" the "Running Then" only appears for a split second before going idle, even on long running programs. Is this the normal operating condition?
Chris Jahn Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 You are correct, prior to 2.6.4, using 'Run' from the program summary runs the Then path for a program (although this has been changed in 2.6.4 to Run based on the If conditions). It doesn't matter if the target program is enabled or not, but it does matter if the Folder Conditions are met or not. If the Folder Conditions are not met then the programs within it (or in subfolders) are will not run, even if run explicitly from the Program Summary page.
