SWL doesnt work in a program

Hi Guys;

I have a program that I've been working on.

If
Control 'A Remote 1 TV / Remotelink B Movies' is switched On
   And $Int_1 < 2

Then
       Set Scene 'Movies Brighter' Off
       Set Scene 'Movies' On
       $Int_1 = 2

Else
       Set Scene 'Movies' Off
       Set Scene 'Movies Brighter' On
       $Int_1 = 1

Seems to work fine but a SWL in one of the scenes doesnt turn on or off.

(I've checked the scenes and the setting for the SWL are correct)

When I press the remotelinc button the ISY GUI says the light is on at the proper level but in reality it is not on at all.

Have you tried the scene manually from the ISY?

I dont believe that this is a program problem. Most likely communication issues with that switch.

Hi Oberkc;

Just did.

The ISY says the SWL is at 50% (the setting it should be at)

but the light is not.

I just tried a scene where the SWL should be on and it is not, even though the ISY says it is.

I've just replaced my PLM a week ago.

Do you think it has something to do with that?

Do you think it doesnt recognize it?

I've had no problem with it until now.

So...I think we can eliminate the program as a cause, for now.

Possibly, but not my first guess. It does seem, however, that some PLMs work better than others (for some reason).

I would try a couple of things first. I would perform a device restore from the ISY on the switchlinc to see if this helps. There are no funny green or red symbols on your list of devices, are there?

Does a device query give any results? What happens if you perform a scene test on the scene that includes the stubborn swithlinc?

Failing all else, I would remove device from ISY, perform a factory reset, then re-add.

If the link records were not updated in a particular device with the new PLM address a Scene would not work as they are dependent on correct link records in the PLM and device.

Oberkc suggestion to do a Restore Device is a good idea as it will rebuild the device links table. Could still have a comm problem but eliminating the link record question since a new PLM has been installed is worth doing first.

I restored the device and it seems to work fine now.

Thank you oberkc.

I found that a few oddities (nothing major) were happening after the PLM switch.

Things like kitchen lights turning on when a basement scene was triggered.

And of course all the lights turning on at 5:30 AM

(I have a nightscene that is shut off with a program that turns everything off at 5:30, the values on some lights were set to 100%)

I don't have any lights set to 100% so I assume it defaulted on a few setting, etc…

I'm still trying to figure out the LED status issue.

I have also been watching that thread. It seems you are getting good advice there, by folks generally more knowledgeable than I. I may jump in soon, however.

Thank again.

I've been trying this

as well.

The two are the same.

My issue is I'll have an LED behave properly (or so I'll think) and then I'll notice the light on from some scene, etc… and the

LED will not show the status properly.

I'm ashamed to say I've been trying to figure this out (on and off) since I got into the ISY

(back when the ISY-26 was around)
