Ramp Rates only work locally, not in scene or program

Hi all,

Standard disclaimer, I'm still learning the ISY-99i, and the Insteon system, but I've looked around the forum and not found an answer other than that my devices may be too old to work with the ramp rate feature.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated, and happy to run more tests. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with all the scenes, but a typical scenario is below.

I have a scene that includes 7 Switchlinc devices. They are:

2 x 2476D Switchlinc Dimmer W/Beeper v.40

2 x 2477D Dual-band Switchlinc Dimmer v.40

2486D Dual-band Keypadlinc 8 button v.40

2 x 2477D Dual-band Switchlinc Dimmer v.41

If I adjust the local ramp rate, the ramp rate works as expected when I use the physical switch. But when I create a scene including these devices and it seems to ignore the ramp rate specified in the scene and use whatever the local ramp rate is set to. I'd like to use the 9m ramp rate to have lights come on very slowly. As it is, even with the scene ramp rate set to 9m, the lights come on with 4.5 second ramp rate, which is what the local rate is set to.

One other thing, the scene doesn't use a switch for a controller, the devices are all responders and I use a simple ISY-99 program as the controller for this scene (If time is 9pm, then set scene ON). I get the same results when I trigger the scene from MobileLinc PRO.

I wasn't sure if the problem was related to having a scene with no device as controller, so as a test I made one of the switches a controller for the scene and I had same results.

I run diagnostics on the scene and it shows no obvious errors (pasted below). And I don't seem to have any other communication problems in this network that includes about 15 devices.

Post the Scene being discussed please.

Note that many Insteon devices no longer support a 9 minute Ramp Rate. SmartLabs changed 9 minute ramp rate to something like .2 seconds several years ago. Try changing the Scene Responder Ramp Rates to 8 minutes. The difference between 8 minute and 9 minute ramp rate is hard to tell as the device ramps On/Off.

Note: I checked the current 2476D sales page specs and it does indicate 8 minutes as slowest ramp rate. Your firmware level is going to support 8 minute rate as max.
