Panda88 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Hi I have a strange scenario. I have a switch located in the middle of my house and it turns the light on and off random. I have tried to replaced the switch and both switches have the same issue. There are several other switches close by. The only special item I can see for this location is it is driving 6 parallel spots (75W) - Can it be related to the load - it seems to happen more often when light is dimmed. What can I do to debug this problem? Any ideas? thanks Chris
LeeG Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 What is the full switch Item number? Is it in the same j-box with other Insteon devices where the load capacity is reduced due to additional heat?
Panda88 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 I have tried 2334-222 and 2477D. There are no other insteon in the same J-box. I am contemplating to change to fluorescent sports (lower power) Chris
LeeG Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The 450 watt load should be fine for either the KeypadLinc or SwitchLinc in a box by itself. Are there any Programs which could be turning the current device On/Off? Also a factory reset of the device to clear any X10 address with a Restore Device to rebuild link database is an option. Note that dimmers are not rated for CFL devices.
Panda88 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Did try reset - but does not seem to help Move the ISY (modem) to different outlet to see if this helps Thanks Christian
