RDoc Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 This is using a 994i with firmware 4.0.5 and UI 4.0.11 which I believe are the current ones. What happens is that if I get a battery low condition on my Insteon Motion Detector V.41, it isn't cleared by doing a Query. I replaced the battery, did a reset by holding the set button in when reconnecting the battery for about 5 sec. The LED was on solid then turned of after a couple of seconds. I then waited about 10 minutes and did a Query from the Admin console and the Low Battery condition didn't change. I then put it into linking mode and did a Query again, no change. At that point I deleted the Motion detector from my list of devices and re-added it. That cleared the Low Battery condition. Of course that also meant I had to edit the programs that use it. I thought the Query cleared the Low Battery condition.
Xathros Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 RDoc- Firmware 4.1.2 is the current and 4.1.3 should be out any day now. There is no need to reset the MS after replacing the battery. Which node did you query? I believe querying the LowBatt node is all that is needed to clear the flag. This does not actually query the battery level of the MS at the battery powered MS should be asleep and won't respond to a query - it just clears the LowBat flag on the ISY. -Xathros

I'm not sure which node I queried, next time I get a low battery I'll try that node.
Teken Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Not related to what you asked. But, in all cases your firmware should match your UI firmware level. Please clear the Java cache next time you complete an upgrade. Teken . . .
