Sub-Routine Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 First, thank you for all the work you have been doing on this May I suggest that the Enable/Disable and Enable/Disable Run at Startup buttons deleted from the HTML page. I think those choices should be available only in the Administration Console. How many times have you been asked to delete a feature? One thing missing from the HTML page is the full program name following the name of the drawer. Long names are truncated to 20 characters in the grid view and on the program page title; it would be nice to see the full name on the program page. Thank you, Rand Quote
Chris Jahn Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 First, thank you for all the work you have been doing on this May I suggest that the Enable/Disable and Enable/Disable Run at Startup buttons deleted from the HTML page. I think those choices should be available only in the Administration Console. I am hesitant to remove these because, for example, I could see a case where someone would want to prevent their regulary scheduled sprinkler program from running. How many times have you been asked to delete a feature? One thing missing from the HTML page is the full program name following the name of the drawer. Long names are truncated to 20 characters in the grid view and on the program page title; it would be nice to see the full name on the program page. Thank you, Rand The problem is that memory in the ISY is at a premium, so we only load the first 20 bytes of each program name. I'll take another look at it and see if this can be increased. Quote
Sub-Routine Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 Hello Chris, I can see the need for me to enable/disable programs. Michel has indicated that there will soon be two levels of login, one for the HTML interface and another for admin. I am afraid one of the other family members would disable my programs and, of course, not bother to enable them again. I don't have any sprinklers but the timers I use on lights can be easily overridden by turning on another scene. If the enable/disable features required the admin password I would sleep easier Thank you, Rand Quote
Chris Jahn Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Hi Sub-Routine, I added an HTML role to the configuration page, which allows you to customize the level of access to programs when going through the HTML interface. This is a stopgap measure until we add support for multiple users with roles. Quote
