Mark Sanctuary Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I think with the way housing prices are falling my ISY/Insteon gear in the house is going to be worth more than the house itself.
bpwwer Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Prices in Orangevale are dropping that fast! I always liked that area. Even though some of the homes are older, it seemed like there were some nice pieces of property there. I use ride my bike around there back when I lived at the corner of Main and Madison.
Mark Sanctuary Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 Actually Orangevale is holding well, but Roseville and Folsom have taken huge hits. Roseville had houses going for over 600k at the high time, and now even listed in the 300k range and they still are not moving. A friend of mine in Real state floats where the money is and he is right now devoting 100% of his time to repos. There are some real bargains out there if you can get out of your current home without being upside-down, but that is the issue for so many right now. My brother-in-law had to walk away from his house because he got a adjustable and was planning to fix it after the two years, but by the time he got to that point he was under by 100k and could not get anyone to refi it. Strange times.
