Waketech Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Hello, I noticed once of my programs was not working properly and after investigation I noticed that the dask/dwan current state was blank (not on/off), I tired to factory reset the motion sensor and nothing worked. I then deleted the device and now neither the dusk/dawn or batt low show the current state. Please help. Thanks
gviliunas Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I think this is normal for battery operated devices. Immediately after adding a battery operated device and after each time ISY is rebooted, the status for battery-operated devices will remain blank until the device wakes-up and sends an update to ISY. For motion sensors, this will happen when motion is sensed, the sensor detects a low battery condition or the transition from light to dark or dark to light occurs. After sending the proper notice to ISY, the battery operated devices goes back to sleep. ISY cannot query status of battery operated devices. They will wake-up and send this information when triggered. The status displayed by ISY is from when the last time the battery device sent an update.

I don't think this is the issue, I simulated dusk/dawn conditions via a shoebox and no status changes. Also the motion portion is working fine just not the bat level and dusk/dawn. This is effecting multiple programs as the status of the dusk/dawn is being used.
LeeG Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 One cannot tell from blank status whether a motion sensor is working. Here are three of them that have no status for some of the nodes only because the conditions have not been achieved. None show dusk/dawn because the light level for that condition has not been satisfied. The dusk/dawn level must exist for more than 3.5 minutes before the condition is registered. If the level is such that dawn light level has not been reached putting in a dark box will not generate a message. What is the defined dusk/dark level? What is the ambient light level?
LeeG Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Reboot the ISY which should prime the low Bat node(s) to Off. The other nodes will be blank until the condition is reached.
