An amusing tale....

I installed the Weather module in my ISY a couple days ago, and began to play with it.

Pulled up My Location, clicked OK, a box pops up with two nearby cities.

Clicked the correct one for me, then another box pops up with a zillion weather stations.

The one at the top, claimed to be 1.6 miles away, looked....... maddeningly familiar. CWxxxx (redacted for security).

"Wait a minute", I said to myself, "that number looks familiar. That's MY call sign."

(Spent the next 2 hours digging into old mail archives.)

Lo and Behold..... it was my CWOP call sign, for which I signed up way back in 2006, then I promptly forgot about it.

I use Davis' WeatherLink, and the menu to setup APRS, NOAA, and CWOP is well-buried, so I hadn't seen it in the 8 years I've been faithfully sending them the data.

So my weather station data I've been wanting for ages..... has been there for ages.

Talk about a "face-palm" moment. ;)
