I can't figure it out

I am having zero success enabling my 2 9821w outdoor cams to trigger a scene

Cam --> iolinc--> ISY scene..

I've tested the oilinc and scene.. Works fine.. (Shorting the cables)

Prob is cam terminal block..??

Foscam says:

The pin 1 is for singal input.

Pin 2 is for the ground, and pin 3,4 is for signal output.

I've tried pin 2 - 3 to iolinc

I've tried pin 3-4 to iolinc

No go..

I enabled IO alarm on foscam firmware..no go..

Has anyone had success with The Terminal Block of the 9821 ?..

Im one short of just getting a INSTEON PIR..   ...sheesh

Thanks very much !!!

Matt

If you are using the sense input on the I/O Linc to trigger off your camera then your camera might need to provide a dry set of contacts.  If your camera trigger output already has a signal whether it is open or closed then you may not be allowing the I/O Linc  sensor to show anything other than triggered.  If you could run a 12V input through the contacts on the camera and have that output of the camera control a 12V relay, then the normally open contacts of the relay could be connected to the sensor of the I/O Linc.  This is creating an isolation from any voltage on the camera contacts and the I/O Linc

Please feel free to contact me at support@universal-devices.com if you want to discuss it.

Hi stu

I contact second level tech at Foscam.. and they told me

pin 1 is for singal input. Pin 2 is for the ground, and pin 3,4 is for signal output.

My manual says

1– input 2- input 3- output 4-output

as there is no consisitency in responses...I tried all sorts of combos.... no go

Hi Steve.. yep.. contacted your team and they echoed your statement..  Im just not that proficient to understand ..lol

I was really hoping someone "found" the trick ...

Under the Alarm tab there are two options, Motion Detection and IO. Did you check Enable under IO. BTW, if you do not have an IO option, then you do not have trigger capability.

From the manual:

I/O Alarm has four ports:
Port 1 and port 2 indicate IO alarm output
Port 3 and port 4 indicate IO alarm input
