to_lighter Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Hi gang, It's been a while since I've last touched my ISY. Recently I've noticed that there are a few devices here and there that have become unresponsive or are behaving oddly. Rather than go around and check each device individually, I was wondering is there is a procedure to have the ISY do a software (non-air gap) reset and reprogram of each device in my home, as well as the PLM. Any thoughts? Cheers!
LeeG Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) There is a File | Restore Devices that rebuilds all the devices. It takes some time as all devices are restored. If using an ISY Pro turn Off updates to the battery devices (last Icon on right across top of display). If not a Pro all the battery devices will fail because the devices are asleep. After the Restore Devices completes activate (manual link state) one battery device at a time and do a Write Updates to device. When one battery device completes put the next one into linking mode and do its Write Updates ..;.;.. Edited October 8, 2014 by LeeG
stusviews Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Updates are likely to complete while the battery powered device is still in linking mode. Use a tap or two to end that mode before trying to update the next device.
