Flood light success

What flood lights are folks having success with?  The more I reed about my old PR511, the less comfortable I feel about installing it and linking to my ISY.  Too many false reads from the motion sensor.  From what I've read, I'll keep away from dual bright.  Is halogen acceptable?

Thanks,

Al

Almost anything that is non dual bright will operate just fine with the micro / inline Linc relay s.

Dual bright is a type of sensor that should be avoided for INSTEON conrtol, halogen is a type of bulb that's usually INSTEON friendly. You may want to avoid halogens that utilize a transformer.

I've had success with Leviton and RAD.

Thanks for the advice.

Since the PR511 is an X10 device. You could not link it to your ISY994i.

It could send X10 power line commands to it and receive X10 power line messages.

Do you have the optional A10/X10 Firmware Module?

Hi Brian,

I'm not going to use x10 signaling.  I'll install an Insteon micro on/off switch on the line.  I'll control power with a program in the ISY.  My wife works nights, so I'll power up the lights sensor an hour before she is due home.  That way I don't light up the neighborhood every time a car drives by the house.
