From a business point of view, packaging and promoting less popular items is not feasible  But, four FanLincs would fly B)

Maybe pushing slow movers is also being done

Today's deals has a 4 pack of Dual Band Switchlincs in Black ONLY and 2 pack of the the old X10 Boosterlincs. 

Just think about their margins if they are still making money at 50% off. If they are not making money on all of these deals then whats up with SH?

Some promotions are also know as loss-leaders. No money is made, but many are drawn in and buy more that just the sale item(s).

And, Brian's right. Slow movers and end-of-life products are often put on sale, too.

it actually still would have been cheaper than the 22% off sale including the conversion kits, alas, I missed out on it too, and I checked VERY early after the e-mail was sent about it...
