Problem With 5-Button KPL

Featured Replies

Posted

A program executing when a button is pressed has stopped working. I checked the KPL in the Device Tree and it had the red circle logo adjacent to all 5 nodes. I control-clicked the first node intending to do a Query but the Query option was not available. I then tried a soft reset without success. The KPL nodes are in a folder and when I tried to remove them from the folder in preparation to delete them I was unable. I then tried to delete the folder itself and could not. All the buttons on the KPL but one still perform their intended purpose. I am stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

The Red circle indicates the KPL is "Disabled" which is why there is no Query option.  Right click on Primary node and select "Enable"

I closed the Admin Console and reopened it and the KPL is no longer in the Device Tree.

Now you can redefine all the Scene/Program connections.   Would have been easier to Enable device.  A device is not marked Disabled because the ISY encountered an error.   That could lead to a Red ! but not Disable.  The Disable option was clicked (by accident ?) .

Yesterday, I disabled several devices and a couple of scenes plus 1 program. I must have done something accidentally. Nevertheless, you have further educated me with the meaning of this icon and the proper step to take to address it.

When I tried a factory reset and relinking, it did not work. As I checked things out, I noticed the KPL had reappeared in the Device Tree along with the disabled icons. I deleted these from the Device Tree and relinked the KPL. After a bit of work all is up and running again. Thanks, Stu.

That was easy B)
