I know this may not be the proper forum but seeing as probably a good number of people deal with smarthome I figured I would ask here. Has smarthome.com gone out of business? I placed an order a week ago and now for about 4-5 days the website half the time is unreachable with internet explorer and iphone. I can browse the site with google chrome but as soon as I try to log in it shows unreachable again. When I call their number it says the number is unreachable. This is a very long time for a company to have tech issues with their contact system. I'm glad I only made a small order.

I know they are behind on orders. They "over-dealt" their hand with the holiday shopping specials

 

However I was just able to log in to my account, my orders etc were there

Internet explorer and Safari on iPhone can't reach the site no matter how hard I try. I used google chrome on my desktop and I can see the products but keep getting errors when ever I try to login. Then when I call all I get is "insteon tech support unavailable, please leave a message" I have left many messages and no one responds.

Hmm that is wierd. I ordered some keypad keys in december and got them last week. Sent an email during that time to check and they responded promptly

The smarthome website is certainly working now.

They have been doing a complete update to both the Smarthome.com and Insteon.com web sites recently.

I had problems from time to time that came and went.

Seems much better now. Though I had to get use to some of the new pages and how they access other pages. :-)

Turns out I had an incompatible item in my cart that would crash the website if I used it while logged in. I finally got a hold of someone by phone and they purged my cart from their end and now it's working.
