bcsh Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Why are my keypads not in sync? is this a common issue? I just created a AllON/OFF scene for my living room lights. I have 3 keypads in different locations in the living room that have this scene so it is controllable from all 3 locations. The AllON/OFF scene includes a light that is also controlled by all three keypads. When the AllON/OFF scene is turned on I would like that scene light on all keypad buttons to turn on at the same time. Example: When I press A for AllON/OFF scene on keypad 1. All the other keypads with that associated scene turn ON their backlights on their keypads. Also All the individual lighting scenes that we within that AllON/OFF scene turn on. So the keypads will now have button A on and button C because if that individually controllable lamp is on the keypads need to have button C illuminated. My issue is that not all 3 keypads are consistently in sync with each other. What can I do to make them sync properly?
MWareman Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Try putting all KPL buttons in each scene, and setting the scene responder levels to what you want. Edited February 9, 2015 by MWareman
LeeG Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 The All On/Off Scene must have all three KPL buttons defined as Contrrollers SceneAllOnOff KPL1 - A - Controller KPL2 - A - Controller KPL3 - A - Controller any other controllers that are controlled by this Scene any other responders that are controlled by this Scene If other KPL buttons should be On (such as button C) those buttons should be added to this Scene as a Responder. Insteon DOES NOT chain Scenes. All the devices that are affected by AllOnOff must be included in the All On/Off scene, either as a Controller that turns ON/Off the AllOnOff Scene or as a Responder.
bcsh Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 I had that program Lee, What ended up being my solution was to "restore the device" I did that for all three keypads and now they are functioning properly.
