Garage Door Sensor stopped reporting

I have the 3 wire garage sensor and I got the code here to have it send me a text message when the door opened or closed.  It worked perfectly for months. But now the sensor doesn't automatically update it's status in my ISY994i so the code doesn't fire.  If I query the device, it changes to the appropriate status.  How do I figure out why this isn't automatically changing anymore?

First look at the Green LED next to the wire connections. Is LED turning On and Off in sync with door movement?

If Green LED indicates door movement correctly, right click on Sensor node and select Restore Device. This will rebuild device link database.

If that does not resolve the problem select Files | Restore Modem (PLM) to rebuild the PLM. The older PLMs tend to fail around the two year mark.

If the I/O Linc still does not report status changes either it has failed or a comm problem exists between I/O Linc and PLM (more likely than I/O Linc failure).

In addition to what LeeG suggested you might want to look at the possibility of electrical interference. Have you added any devices on the garage circuit that could interfere with the Insteon signal? The IOLinc in not a dual band device so all signals travel over the wiring. The addition and or failure of a device on the same circuit could create noise which would interfere with the signal to and from the IOLinc.

If the only device not reporting Status changes was the I/O Linc that device had an issue with it's link database. If this is the only time it has happened with the I/O Linc I suspect some problem with the electrical power going to the device, perhaps a storm that caused a surge or drop in power to the device.

Normally devices do not have link database problems. I would not be concerned unless it happens again. Then see what else is being powered from that circuit in the garage. Power tools often have a heavy draw of current as they power up.
