raymondh
Every light switch in the house is a switchlinc and every room has at least one lamplinc. I did the 4 tap test today and every device flashed red. I thought I was supposed to see some green? Link to comment
stusviews
You are correct. Some devices should be blinking green. It's highly unlikely, although possible, that all the devices are on the same leg of the split, single-phase electric supply. Which device did you use to initiate the test? When you say "flashed red," do you mean an occasional red flash or continuous red blinking? Link to comment
raymondh
I used a lamp dimming module. All devices flashed red pretty much in unison. Link to comment
stusviews
Flashed red now and then or blinked continuously? (It matters.) Try moving the LampLinc to different outlets around the house. Link to comment
raymondh
Flashed red every second. I moved it around with the same outcome. Link to comment
LeeG
raymondh The color of the flashing reflects the wiring in the residence. With the circuits being on the same 120 v leg coupling may not be an issue. The same 4 tap test should be done from the PLM to see it is on the same 120 v leg. Is there a comm issue being being evaluated with this 4 tap test? Link to comment
