Arming the ELK from the ISY when there's motion

Trying to setup some rules to arm the ELK using the ISY.  The problem I'm encountering is that the ELK will not arm if there is motion.  I thought that the ELK would arm itself during motion when using ELK-based rules but I have not tested to be sure.

 

Anyone encounter a similar issue and have any workarounds?

 

I thought about making the motion sensors Force Armable but I have other Force Armable zones in the ELK and would rather keep them separate so that I know when those zones specifically are violated before arming.

 

I wish the Elk would allow you to arm during motion.  Not sure the reasoning behind this.

 

Any suggestions welcome.
