Leak Sensor Heartbeat reporting

If the Leak Sensor Heartbeat report is sent out periodically by the sensor, is it detected by ISY and logged?

It would appear in the level 3 error log.

The heartbeat signal is also available in the ISY log. You can also write simple program to notify you if a heartbeat signal is missed.

Of my four Leak Sensors, none report Heartbeat to the ISY log. Although Wet, Dry, And Heartbeat status appear on Admin Console.  I would prefer to have the periodic status report appear on the log, which I check daily. These 2852-222 Sensors identify as Ver. 00, although upon physical inspection they may be otherwise. Is there a remove / reinstall proceedure that would give their apearance in the log?

A couple things to start you should be using the latest Beta 4.3.10 RC10 so everyone is on the same page. Next, the units should not show a V.00 so you need to delete them and add them back one at a time using the auto discover mode.

Only changes in state are logged. Since the Heartbeat does not change state unless Wet at Heartbeat time nothing would be expected in the Log. Use a Program to check for Heartbeat and if the Heartbeat does not occur send an email.

Example that is sending an X10 message but email is the normal action by most

HeartBeat - [iD 0044][Parent 0001]

If

Control 'Leak Sensor-Heartbeat' is switched On

Or Control 'Leak Sensor-Heartbeat' is switched Off

Then

Wait 25 hours

Send X10 'A10/All Lights On (5)'

Else

- No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Send X10 'A10/All Lights On (5)'

Why the heck is this in there? Does it really turn all the lights on if the heartbeat is missed for 25 hours?

It turns On all the X10 units with an A10 address.  It is an easy way "for me" to verify Heartbeat is working.  As I mentioned before most folks would use a Notify to send an email.

Further to his comments above, I believe LeeG uses X10 devices as Virtual Devices (VD?) he can easily see in logs and event lists to prove his testing results.
