shvegas Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Home Depot has Sylvania Ultra IQ light bulbs for half price at only $15 each. They are 11W BR30 flood lights that say they are zwave bulbs for their IRIS system. I bought one to see if I could add it to my system. Does anybody have any experience with these or have any information on the process for adding them as a device? I installed it and turned it on and had the ISY search but nothing came up. I put it in a lamp next to the ISY and did the same thing and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated. They are nice bulbs if I can get them to pair with the ISY.
stusviews Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 IRIS is compatible with ZigBee, Z-Wave and WiFi. AFAIK, Sylvania Ultra IQ bulbs are ZigBee compatible.
Teken Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 To add some clarity to this question the current Zigbee protocol only interacts with energy monitors, and specific TSTATS. UDI does not currently support the home automation aspect or any other at the moment. Perhaps one day it will because it would open the door to new sales given the proper device support such as these bulbs.
stusviews Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Here's a list of IRIS supported devices and the protocol used.
