Different devices plugged into the syncholinc have different on / off load behavior. The device needs to be calibrated to how the device you're watching behaves,. Page 5 of the manual describes how to do this.

I'm currently running three Synchrolincs, each calibrated separately according to the instructions linked to by Paul (#3). After calibrating and testing (i.e., turning the load on and off), all scenes/links were created using the ISY.
