Costco - Insteon Multi Packs - Are back on line

Featured Replies

I wanted to let our American brothers know Costco.com has finally brought back the Insteon multi pack bundles. For the longest time they only carried the 4 pack dimmer set for most of the summer.

They are now carrying 4 packs of: Leak Sensors, Open-Close, LED lights, and 2 pack of Motion Sensors.

The 4 pack dimmer's are still present and also a great value because they come with the clip on plate cover. As usual the Canadian side offers more options which range from 9 to 15 items but never carry the same multi packs as seen on the American side.

At $25.XX a piece that is a excellent deal and you don't need to wait for Black Friday or any other holiday as these are the every day prices with FREE shipping you lucky [censored]ss!

Thanks for the heads up, it's always nice to have a professional shopper watching our back.

F.Y.I.  these items are usually shipped directly from Smarthome so the hardware/firmware should be current.

Teken, do you happened to know what the current hardware/firmware versions are for the motion sensors?

I would need to see the last batch I received but wouldn't consider them (current) as the ten I purchased were during the 2014 XMAS season. But, don't for see a huge leap in hardware / firmware for the MS as its a tried and true unit for many years.

I wanted to advise all of our Canadian brothers Costco.ca is now carrying a 4 pack dimmer lincs for $189.99 which is $15.50 less than Aartech here in Canada. Of course you also get free shipping from Costco and the four snap on face plate which doesn't come with the standard order.

The price is still $40.XX more than the Costco.com at $149.99 USD but given the current exchange rate that is still a great value for Canadian buyers.

Wow, you guys really liked that sale price . . . All sold out at the moment at Costco.ca you crazy Canuks!

Cleaned out of singles and 4 packs too.

I like these bulbs with the SwitchLinc dimmers/ They dim down without flickering to about 12% on the ISY scale but provide hospital operating room brightness when called for. They are free delivery also. I have used 6 of them every day for many hours for the last 12 months and never experienced any flicker, constantly dimmed, except for a few full family occasions, when they were on laser therapy mode = 100%.

Now they come in 5000K also. Just what I was waiting for my Kitchen counter bar. My big brand name units are starting to flicker occasionally so you think you blinked a few times per day. It is getting annoying.

This is a better deal than aartech's black friday sale!

aartech black friday deal is 3 for 154.99, plus shipping/hst = 186.43/3 = 62.14 each

costco with free shipping is 4 for 189.99, plus hst = 214.69/4 = 53.67 each!

With the current USD/CAD exchange rate of 1.34, I haven't found a single "black friday" deal that beats costco's price for us canadians.  Granted, this is only one example.

Yes, I saw that it was brought back yesterday which like you said is way better than Aartech's pricing. If you think their prices are huge go take a look at The Source, NCIX, etc.

These morons are trying to sell the exact same items at 30 - 45% more! As stated in another thread Best Buy Canada has dropped the Insteon line and is (was) clearing out any existing stock in all locations across the country. What I find maddening is that they (Upper Management) have decided to carry what I consider 3rd tier products.

Its obvious to me its because of profit margins and has nothing to do with actual performance or demand. Because right now they are carrying lots of (Fad / Popular) items like the August Lock and speaking to a few sales associates in various stores it hasn't sold at all.

The same with the Lutron automation stuff on their shelves . . .

My point was nothing more than the switchlinc dimmers are, from what I can find, the cheapest in canada from costco.ca right now.  If you need anything else, aartech is probably the better deal.  In fact, I am making a purchase through aartech and not costco because I want to place a single order which includes things that costco doesn't carry.  If you want only switchlinc dimmers, costco is the best deal.

Note, I have never purchased a single insteon product in canada before, as i'm in a bit of a unique situation, so this will be the first time due to the exchange rate.

Yes, I recall you travel back and forth for work and just go over the bridge. Not sure as to why you're not doing this anymore because it just makes sense if that access is available to you.

The days of living in the United States . . .
