That is a good thing.

There where many Insteon homes with heat pumps and no way to use the existing Insteon models.

 

This morning I got an email from Smarthome announcing the new model.

 

Has the same FCC ID number. My thoughts are the firmware has been changed to use the outputs that are used for a Heat Pump.

I have just checked the heat pump thermostat and it is having the good specifications that can be easily controlled by your smartphone and tablets.
