paulbates Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 In NodeLink, there is a Heartbeat device instead of a variable for tracking communications failures. This change affects how the original Venlink comm check program works. This version will send a notification if either NodeLink stops running, or the thermostat is not operating. Heartbeat is found under the new Status in V5. You can change the value of the wait to suite your needs, however I would not reduce it below 1 minute. UPDATE: Starting up the admin console, especially if NodeServers are updating, can sometimes cause false notifications from these programs as an FYI. I couldn't find a good balance by increasing or decreasing the wait without worse side effects. If 'HVAC / Family Room' Heartbeat is -1 Or 'HVAC / Family Room' Heartbeat is 1 Then Wait 1 minute Send Notification to 'Default' content 'HVAC FR Venstar Down' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
