jay2068 Posted December 13, 2015 Share Posted December 13, 2015 I have an ISY with about 10 devices working great. My problem is I have one outlet that I have tried two different new outlets in and I can't add it to the devices. I get an error about cannot determine device link table address I have my elk currently offline not sure if this is causing and issue but I would think it wouldn't here is the debug log: Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:26 AM : [ELK ] Connect Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:36 AM : [ELK ] Connect Failed Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:36 AM : [33 1D 7D ] Added to list of devices to link to ISY Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:36 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 33 1D 7D 0F 0D 00 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:36 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 33.1D.7D 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:37 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 33.1D.7D 2F.B8.EA 23 0D 02 (02) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:37 AM : [std-Direct Ack] 33.1D.7D-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:37 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 33 1D 7D 0F 10 00 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:37 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 33.1D.7D 0F 10 00 06 ID-REQ (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 33.1D.7D 2F.B8.EA 23 10 00 ID-REQ (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [std-Direct Ack] 33.1D.7D-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 33.1D.7D 02.08.42 83 01 40 (40) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [std-Broadcast] 33.1D.7D-->02.08.42, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [33 1D 7D 0 ] Calibrating engine version Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 33 1D 7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:38 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 33.1D.7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:40 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 33.1D.7D 2F.B8.EA 23 2F 00 (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:40 AM : [std-Direct Ack] 33.1D.7D-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:49 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 33 1D 7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:49 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 33.1D.7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:51 AM : [ELK ] Connect Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:58 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 33 1D 7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:58 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 33.1D.7D 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sun 12/13/2015 11:38:01 AM : [ELK ] Connect Failed Sun 12/13/2015 11:38:02 AM : [33 1D 7D 0 ] Failed to add device, reason 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jerlands Posted December 13, 2015 Share Posted December 13, 2015 Sun 12/13/2015 11:37:37 AM : [std-Direct Ack] 33.1D.7D-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 You've got poor communication with the device. I'm guessing your electrical legs aren't bridged. Do you have access points, range extenders, lamplincs or on/off modules you could plug in nearby? Jon... stusviews Posted December 13, 2015 Share Posted December 13, 2015 Also determine which other (non-Insteon) devices are on the same circuit, especially electronics. If that are any, unplug and/or disconnect them and try again. If that works, then you'll need a filter. BTW, turning electronics off is inadequate, they must be unplugged or disconnected.
