Teken Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I have the ISY994i/ZW Pro and was wondering if I can add ZIGBEE support. The plan would be to work with Philips HUE TIA Leon Hello Leon, The current iteration of the 994 Series Controller only supports one added hardware upgrade. So its either Z-Wave or ZigBee but not both. It should also be noted the 994 Series Controller even if it could support two hardware upgrades does not support other profiles which is the HA aspect. So you would still be out of luck in this aspect so the only *current* solution would be to purchase a third party controller that would allow the ISY to integrate with it. Or use two separate 994's via the network module but again that doesn't allow you to use other ZigBee profiles at all just the energy profile.
leonpc Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Thanks Teken. That is what I thought reading the site and documentation. I just wanted confirmation.
mwester Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Philips Hue support can be done, currently, by using the network module with the ISY to communicate with the Hue Hub from the ISY. The current beta version of firmware for the ISY supports external device "drivers" via a mechanism called a "node server", and UDI will provide a node server framework that supports the Hue (among other things, like Kodi).
