Bob P. Posted February 1, 2016 Share Posted February 1, 2016 I just installed the ISY portal. I was using port forwarding through DYNDNS (HTTP port 8020). My Admin Console "Portals" tab is blank. I've selected "Automatic (DHCP)" in the System Network Settings tab per the instructions. What should the HTTP and HTTPS port setting be? Update: I updated the UI, and accepted the device for the portal, but the device URLs don't work. The "URL to ISY" link returns a page saying "User Authorization Not Valid". I added the Admin Console URL to my finder, but it gives ma a blank console without the login dialog box. Link to comment

The "ISY Information" option in the portal provides two URLs, one to be pasted into the finder for Admin Console access, and the other has a direct link to the ISY. Neither one works. The "URL to ISY" link returns a page saying "User Authorization Not Valid". I added the Admin Console URL to my finder, but it gives me a blank console without the login dialog box. I tried the URL to ISY link from the computer local to the ISY, and got a login dialog. I put in my ISY ID and password, and the "User Authorization Not Valid" screen came up. Should the portal email address and password go in that dialog? I can't get the password prompt back now - It just goes directly to the "User Authorization Not Valid" screen. Link to comment

This morning, I realized why the URL pasted to the finder didn't work - I was using an outdated finder link. I changed the link to the correct version, which fixed it. I still get the "User Authorization Not Valid" error with the "URL to ISY" URL. Link to comment

Hi Bob, The "URL to ISY" would be what you use to access the ISY's /rest interface from the outside world. For the admin console to work, you would need to append /desc to the end of that (making it the same as the "Admin Console URL"). -Xathros Link to comment

If I use that as a browser URL, I just get a listing of the xml code. Link to comment

The "URL to ISY" string isn't meant to be placed in the address bar of a browser but rather when sending HTTP Rest commands from apps like Tasker, Maker or ?
