RainMachine - Set Error

Featured Replies

Just received a new RainMachine Mini-8 to integrate into my parents' system.  When I add the device and click on the device link, the page returns:

HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found Connection: close

The NodeLink log shows the following:

2016-02-24 18:19:11 - RainMachine Set Error - The operation has timed out [spkr]

The RainMachine is on the same network as the ISY and I can connect to it via the app.  I feel like I must be missing a step here...

No, this is my bad.  I added a last minute bug - will fix in the next release.

Just tried in 0.4.1 and I can now add the rainmachine but I get the following error:

2016-03-17 17:54:40 - RainMachine Login Error - The operation has timed out [spkr]

I am connecting to the correct IP using the same password I use for the webapp.  The device is accessible via the smartphone or web application.

What's happens when you point a web browser at your RainMachine, port 18080?

The REST API page loads.

Are you trying to connect remotely or on the local LAN?  Having trouble reproducing here - my Mini-8 works fine.

I'm on the local LAN pointing NodeLink to the internal IP.  I can authenticate to the API using the same password I entered in Nodelink.  This is on a Mini 8 as well.

It's not a password issue, I tested that and you'd get a 401 error.

Is this on Windows - any chance you have a firewall blocking it?  I can only reproduce the error if I power down my RainMachine.

SOmething weird is going on - there is no firewall but I can't get a connection from the server to the rainmachine although it works from other machines.  Time to do some digging here.

Well, that was strange.  Every machine on the network but the machine running Nodelink was able to connect to the RainMachine.  After another reboot of the RainMachine, it started working.
