Jason Miller Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I have configured my ISY Portal to leverage IFTTT. I've configured it so if my ring doorbell is pressed, it created the web services call via IFTTT to turn an outlet on. My thought is, on this outlet, enable some type of "chime". So, when chime is powered, it will make a noise. I have existing doorbell/chime or wiring for it. Any thoughts on how to do this? I hoped to make it turn Sonos on or something, but it seems that isn't possible with the way IFTTT works with ISY Portal as it can only turn a device on.
kissfan Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 How about an X10 chime? http://www.smarthome.com/x10-rsc15-sc546-or-phh02-x10-chime-module.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jimbo.Automates Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I do it with an old Android tablet that reads aloud pushover messages. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Maybe I'm not understanding what you are saying, but IFTTT can run a program on the ISY, which then can do anything ISY can do.
kohai Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I am trying to do something similar. I have the sonos part working but not the doorbell part (waiting for z-wave multi-channel support... ugh, been waiting since November when I realized my sensor was not compatible). http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/17615-sonos-alert-message-pause-music-alert-play-music/
KeviNH Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 If you have many insteon devices already installed, try this: Beep - [ID 0110][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set 'Living Room / LightSwitch ' 2 (Beep Duration) Set 'Bedroom / LightSwitch ' 2 (Beep Duration) Else Set Scene 'All My Lights' Beep This program causes a BEEP noise from controllers which support BEEP. Basically you pick a scene with a lot of Beep-enabled devices (e.g. lightswitches) in it, and call "Beep" on that scene.
