Mobilinc costs

Featured Replies

Ok, I've become confused with all the ISY and UDI offerings/possibilities again.

a month ago I signed up for the mobilinc trial (all of 5 days I think...) but I never got back to it after I started playing with the HAD from UDI

I don't mind the $20 price for mobilinc pro (since my trial expired) if I know the following:

am I required to use another portal with a recurring subscription price ?

or is this a one-time cost ?

and

if they offer a portal option, what are my limitations compared to the non-portal option

thanks, Scott

Mobilinc is not sold by UDI.

Mobilinc is a handy app but you don't need a portal to use it.  It works with free DDNS or one of the available portals, Mobilinc Connect or ISY Portal.

It depends if you have iPhone or Android.  I'm not MacCentric but believe you'd lose notifications without Mobilinc Connect.  Basically everything works using any of the https options but with ISY Portal you get network resources, IFTTT,  Amazon Echo integration and with Mobilinc Connect you get Amazon Echo integration.

Hi Scott,

The MobiLinc apps are a one-time cost and will work to connect to your ISY via a direct IP. We also have a portal solution for the ISY since 2012 that offers the following additional features for $29.99 USD per ISY per year:

- Anywhere access.

- Amazon Alexa/Echo and IFTTT support.

- Push Notifications for your devices, programs, variables, and security states (iOS)

- Today View Widget support (iOS)

While most MobiLinc users go with MobiLinc Connect for it's feature set and that it just works, you can opt-out and use a direct IP connection instead.
