Inline linc dimmers, do they fit decora style plates or use a blank?

Featured Replies

Not where I can check now, but need to order a 4 gang decora style cover of some sort either a blank or the 4 sqaures if they inline linc dimmers fit into those holes or are they flush with the box and you put a blank cover over them?

They will be in the attic where it's warm and will be running the can lights from a couple of keypads instead of banks of switches.

Thanks

Alan

Specs indicate they can be inserted into a standard electrical box: 2.75" H x 1.75" W x 1" D

In-line devices do not have external controls, so a blank plate is usually used if the device is not in a ceiling box.

After getting some photos, they show them pretty flush in a box, so the blank plate will be the way to go, not going to dissapate any heat up in the attic, but running 4 max led lights won't put any load on them.

Thank you

Excellent, have ordered the 4 gang blank, gotta love Amazon prime as the local electrical suppliers, borgs etc, do not have them in stock and would be a week and a week!
