ldrinc Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Not sure if this makes sense but I am curious to know if there are plans to support Kodi via Nodelink?
io_guy Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 What would you be looking to do that a simple network rest call couldn't handle? I use kodi in every room of my house but don't really see the value.
ldrinc Posted July 12, 2016 Author Posted July 12, 2016 Well, now that I think about it. You're right. Forget I asked.
apnar Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I agree in general, but a couple reasons this may make sense.... Ease of repeatability. Lots of folks have one or more Kodi installs. If you add it to NodeLink it'd save a good bit of repeated work for lots of people some of whom may not be able to easily write a bunch of network resources. Status. Having status easily populated in ISY for on/off state, playing vs stopped, movie or tv show or music, that sort of thing could be helpful.

Links can be found in the Third Party software section of this forum.I used it for some time but didn't see the need for it after experimenting with it. My MediaPC doesn't get that much usage any more. The control of Kodi to turn on certain audio sources could be more handy in lieu of iR controls though.
