Can't Access ISY Remotely

I am away from home and cannot access my ISY. I had a neighbor drop by the home and remove the power from the ISY and reboot it. I still cannot access it. I am able to access an Insteon Camera at that location so the away IP is correct. I would not think the PLM had anything to do with remotely accessing the ISY--am I correct? Any suggestions as to next steps?

Nasty one.

Do you have access to your router, remotely?

I have to assume I do since I can access the Insteon Camera through the router. Also, the door sensors are correctly reporting their status and the camera is sending motion-activated email.

I meant admin access to the router.

This sounds like ISY didn't get the right IP address from the router DHCP.

Trouble is your port forward in your router will be set for fixed IP and ISY may be suiting at a different one.

How good a neighbour is s/he?  Rebooting the router may fix it if you don't have access to the router.

Call the Electrical Utility and ask them to power cycle your house. :)

I had this happen where my free DDNS service cancelled me cause I didn't check in that month as a new policy while I was away. Finally I got my ISP to answer my email with my IP address, that had never changed.

unfortunately you are looking at inside your LAN IP addresses.

How do you log in to the camera? Are you using the camera's service or something else? How do you log in to the ISY? Do you have a service? Are you using your the address your ISP provided? Is that address static? Have you ever been able to access the ISY remotely? Do you have a portal?

My neighbor graciously checked things out. First, my IP has not changed. Using the LAN IP for the ISY, he successfully accessed the ISY. So, the problem has been narrowed to remote access. He rebooted the router, and I still can't get in remotely. Somehow, it appears that the setup for remote access is corrupted. In the interim, the ISY is controlling things normally. When I return home I will access the Airport Extreme router and check out things in detail. Thanks for the help. I will report a followup in a couple of weeks.
