RainMachine - RM Programs after #1 don't appear

Featured Replies

Hi io_guy

I've added a second and third program to my rainmachine. The nodelink .net app picks them up right away, but programs after #1 don't appear on the ISY side. Its an easy recreate, and if you need more from me on the ISY side let me know what you need

What happens when you try to add the node with the button (any info in the log)?  Additional programs show up fine for me.

Thanks, that was it.  Its probably worth a note on the RM Nodelink PAgeweb page:

New RM programs are added to the ISY by pressing "Install ISY Nodes". New RM programs appear at the root of the ISY device list. Programs deleted from the RM must be manually deleted from the ISY"

...something like that.

Thanks

Paul

Next NodeLink will auto-add when it sees changes to zones/programs.

Delete is a different story.  I can auto-delete but we then run the risk of a software glitch removing nodes by error and messing up your ISY setup.  A little risky.

What I could do is a startup scan of the ISY to determine if NodeLink sees any "phantom" nodes, and throw them into the log as a warning.

The auto add sounds great. For me, now that I have programs set up, I'm not likely to change the number of programs again. I might change zone timing, but I'll do that directly in the RM itself.

I wouldn't risk/spend a lot of time on the delete. As long as a reminder of what to do is on the nodelink page, that would be fine, or a log warning.
