Can't control Aeotec Smart Switch 6 with ISY

The ISY displays a device item called "energy meter" with current current amps, current power watts, current voltage volts and total power kwh. Just tonight I pushed firmware 1.1 to two new ZW096-A02 units so the ISY could turn them on/off. The basic power energy features are still there for HS3 too, minus the bells and whistles. When the ISY catches up on support of the latest devices, I can always upgrade the firmware.

rljupiter, thanks for sharing this.  A few quick questions:

1.  how did you update the firmware of your smart switch 6 - did you use a minimote?

2.  how do you know what firmware  version you have in your smartswitch 6?

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but instead of starting a new one I figured I will continue from here.  I am on ISY v 5.0.15.  I have seen in one other thread that at v5.0.12 this switch was working and supported but I cannot say which version of software was installed on the switch itself.  I was just given one of these Aeotec Smart Switch 6 also known as ZW096-A02.  I started with an exclude and then an include of the device.  It took a while to complete the process and by the end I could see 4 new devices added.... And then the pop-up appeared

I had to click the OK button 16 times to get rid of it and now as I move between the nodes I get the pop-up all all the nodes. As I step through each of the nodes have information populated but I have no control over any of them.  It seems like the information in the Energy Meter is pretty accurate based on some tests I did.

Since it was a gift I will live with the  fancy "monitor" but I was wondering if somebody had found some workarounds to the issues. Is the only remedy still to load firmware v1.1 on the switch?

Thanks in advance

Leon
