deebou9 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I have two ISY994 izw units in different houses, each having several switches and monitors working well, including GE wall switches (non-dimmers). I recently bought a GE Dimmer Switch (model ZW3005) and have no trouble linking it in one of the houses (whose ISY controller was purchased around March, 2016) but cannot get the other control unit (bought in early 2015) to 'hear' it. I have reset the dongle in the older unit, upgraded to newer version of z-wave, rebuilt the network, tried various proximities and spatial relations (down to less than 2 feet), all to no avail. In the 'good' house, I can remove it and add it repeatedly with no problem. What else might I try?
Chris Jahn Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Hi deebou9, If you cannot exclude or include the ZW3005 into the network, I think you should factory reset it and see if that helps. Most of the GE Dimmers have a little airgap button at the bottom of the switch that you pull out to do this, but the actual procedure is probably in the instructions that came with the switch.
deebou9 Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks, Chris. I see the button you describe. I'll give it a try.
