Multiple Amazon Dot or Echo, is there a way to have it detect which one activates the local light?

Hard to put into the title alone. You have a Dot in the Living Room and one in the Kitchen. Is there a way to say "turn on the lights" and it knows which room to activate? For now, I'm OK with saying "turn on living room lights" and "turn on kitchen lights".

I believe it's documented somewhere.... You need multiple Amazon accounts with each Dot or Echo assigned to their own. Then, subaccounts in ISY Portal, with distinct device assignments and spokens.

Thanks, I thought I saw it.

Another interesting question is, what about a second home? I'll be installing one at the cabin. Not very rustic! But I wonder if I'll have to set up a second account with Amazon. In fact I am thinking I'll have to purchase another portal.

You can use the same portal, but if you want to use the same spoken (e.g., "turn on the light," in different rooms/locations)  then you need an account for each room/location. I currently use four accounts with one portal. Five accounts is the maximum, BTW.
