Every time I turn off my 2466D it stops communicating with "Cannot Communicate With Sun Room.."

All I have to do is turn it back on in the console and sometimes it apparently reconnects. Other times I have to restore it.

I have replaced the 2466 wit new unit, same issue.

This appears to have happened after changing PLM or the last update to 4.54, but not positive of that.

Any ideas?

It still works and responds outside the console, but not always with the Echo.

5 device links match ISY.

Sometimes I have to write updates  because restore won't work.

The 2466 is power line only. I'd look for something on that specific circuit that may be interfering with power line communication. suspected devices include anything electronic (TVs, computers, UPSs) and wall warts. Disconnect or unplug all such devices (simply turning them off is inadequate, they must be disconnected of unplugged) to determine if communication improves.

 

If you find an offending device, then filter it.

If you are correct, and I hope you are, then replacing it with a2477D should correct the issue?

A 2477D will bypass the issue.It will not correct it. If the interfering device is particularly errant, then you may still experience some difficulty. The best solution is to find the problem device.

 

BTW, what's the load on the ToggleLinc?

Single incandescent bulb.

 

This set up has been working for years, probably close to ten.

 

However my wife did get a new phone, I have to see if the charger is plugged into the same circuit.

Old house, outlets in different rooms share circuits.

I have a couple and one in particular goes flaky after a a few years (like several of my switches). Beyond "restore device", I have to factory reset it.

 

Have you tried a factory reset, then restore?

Tried all that and even replaced it with same result, had to add a power strip on different circuit for christmas lites and today it is working fine.

Maybe something that I unplugged and replugged was causing the issue?

If you replaced it and its still doing it, that sounds, like powerline noise.  I too have an older house (1952) , they never expected how the electrical system would eventually be used.  I've found that carefully placed dual band devices and range extenders are needed. 

 

Given the amount I know, and assuming that the location is able to receive dual band, I would look at a dualband switch.
