I'm attempting to add an Aeotec Siren to my network but several attempts have failed. 

 

Here's what I have been doing.

 

1. Start Device Discovery in the Admin Console.

2. Plug in the Siren.

3. Press the button on the bottom of the siren.

 

When I press the button, the led light flashes on and off. After that the device finder doesn't find it.

 

I've reset the siren 2 or 3 times.

 

I've had the siren right next to the ISY.

 

What am I missing?

Device discovery doesn't work for Z-Wave devices, Use the Z-wave menu. You may need to tap the button twice (double tap).

I've been using the device discovery in the Z-Wave menu. It says its listening for Z-Wave devices to add to the network. I've tried double taps,long taps, short taps. Thanks for your suggestions Stu!!

Sometimes you need to exclude the device first--even if it has never been added. In fact, you may want to exclude the device twice.
