HELP! Just moved to a new house, plugged in my 2413S PLM, connected it to my ISY 994i through the same CAT 5e cable (I think) that it was connected through at the other house, and got no lights. At my old house, the ISY 994i had an external power supply that was connected to a UPS, but my understanding is that the PLM should provide power, right? Is there a special cable to allow it to power the ISY 994i or should any CAT 5e cable work?

The ISY requires a separate power supply when you use the 2413S

In case you the OEM power supply can't be found any DC transformer that outputs from 5 ~ 30 VDC is fine.

Please post example photos of soldering the wires to the microUSB connector. :)

microUSB connector?

The ISY994i uses a standard coaxial type DC connector.

You must have a really old ISY model then....

:) Just kidding.

Apologies. I was confused with Rpi.

I plugged my ISY in about three years ago and have only seen it a few times, since. Yes the ISY uses a small barrel / coax connector of some sort. I didn't want to interrupt it to look.

There are lots of power supplies with the correct connection, the most common being a 12VDC camera power supply.
