When I try to include a new zWave device in my network, the ISY Finder screen pops up.

If I press the action button on the Aeotec, it flashes but is not included in the network.

The ISY Finder never popped up before; not sure why it is now.

 

I get advice to exclude a device before trying to include it.

Do I just choose Exclude a Device, then press the Aeotec action button?

 

Any suggestions on using an Aeon ZStick with ISY994i ZW?  I had a zStick

when I was running Homeseer on a desktop.  Does the ISY994i ZW have

a USB port for the zStick to be inserted to Learn about zWave devices?

The Aeotec Siren was included in the zWave network when I held it 12" in front of the ISY994i ZW

during the Include process.  I had tried and tried and tried, using long extension cords, even getting within 8'

of the ISY but not until I placed it ONE FOOT AWAY did the include process succeed.

 

The Gen 5 Siren does indeed function beautifully as a repeater, allowing all three of

my Schlage BE569 door locks to function as expected.  Each lock reports its status

through ISY Administration as well as MobilLinc Pro.  Programs have been created to

unlock the clubhouse doors at 6:30am and to lock them again at 6:30pm.

 

The residents are pleased.
